When confronted by two extremely obese Labradors and the couple that own them.
Me: “So what do they get to eat?”
Wife: “Oh, they get a cup of dry food each.”
Me: “Well that’s good…”
Wife: “…twice a day.”
Husband: “And toast”
Wife: “Oh yes, but no butter.”
Husband: “And rice with gravy at dinner time. And a bone at bedtime so we can get some sleep.”
Seriously- I couldn’t make these up.

Toast?? For the DOG?! And how much do these dogs weigh?? Why do I imagine both owner and animal to be a tad chubby?
Owner’s were quite a normal weight (husband possibly a bit thin) but the dogs were 50kg each.Both seemed to have a touch of food aggression too.
You have great stories even if it does drive you nuts some times. Your audience surely loves it.
oh. my. There’s no excuse for a Lab to ever be overweight!
