Saying Good-byes

Goodbyes are hard.

I know I’m only going interstate, and I know that when I was studying I didn’t necessarily see that many friends that often, but it feels like I’m going to miss them so much more when we’re interstate as opposed to just around the corner.

I caught up with many of them over New Years, and some have promised to visit. I’m not that far away- an easily justifiable distance to go on a weekend, but that takes effort.

Dr Trumps Uni Students

Looks like landlords would rather have one veterinarian living in a house over three uni students.

Who can blame them? And it’s a nice house, one I could happily live in for as long as I work at my first job. House aquired, furniture organised, boxes sent on freight, flights booked. There’s just small things to sort through now, in order to empty the room I’ve had for more than two decades.

I’m on my way.

In a town I don’t know, with no family or friends currently staying there to guide me around, I need to find a place to spend the next 12 months. I’m new to this real estate game, but there’s an extra odd little factor to it.

I put ‘Dr’ as my title on the forms.

The conversations go something like this. [Read more →]
